An Update on the Wabukayne Island

Over the past two seasons we have had some problems with the Floating Island not performing as expected due to this new technology being impacted by high winds, substantial rain and strong currents. We have been assured that structural integrity issues have been solved with the placement of additional anchors and minor technological improvements.

It should be noted that there are roots growing through the structure and into the water which indicates positive direction towards our goal of increased water quality.

New seeds, as well as plant roots will be planted on the island this Spring 2015, so that the island will develop in esthetics and performance.
