Lake Wabukayne - A jewel in the heart of Meadowvale

Lake Wabukayne is one of the best hidden gems in Mississauga. Located just north west of the intersection of Erin Mills Parkway and Britannia, Lake Wabukayne is actually a storm management pond built in the 1970's. The group, "Friends of Lake Wabukayne" works to enhance and conserve this natural area surrounding Lake Wabukayne so that it can be a healthy and inviting environment for people, birds, animals and plant life. Over the past 40 years, the lake has grown into a naturalized area and is home to many species of birds and wildlife. Part of the Wabukayne park trail, there is a walking path that circles the lake and is a great place to jog or stroll.
